Author: kat06241 Surnames: Puckett, Coolson, Coulson Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.coulson/450/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Just recently uncovered that my husband's grandmother, Virgie Puckett (daughter of Nettie and Elisha Puckett, Carroll, Va) had a first marriage to a neighborhood boy, Charles Coulson. Somtimes spelled Coolson on records. They married in 1920 and divorced sometime between 1930 & 1938, when she married my husband's grandfather. I located Charles in McDowell County, West Virginia on the death rolls. He died in 1941 of a broken neck. He was a miner, so I am assuming it was on the job. I'm trying to locate information on him and when & why they divorced. If anyone is related, it would be great to see a photo of him or Virgie when she was younger.
