Your friends Nathan Coulson is most probably the same as is in my Coulson Tree. These are the details I have: DOB 30/05/1834 Place of birth Bethnal Green London Middlesex, England Spouse Elizabeth Crake Parents Nathan Coulson and Susannah Fordham. Let me know if there is any connection. I've had contact from a desendant of Nathan Coulson 1834's son Albert Coulson born 1872. She has filled in some gaps in the tree. Apart from her I don't have any other info of modern day Coulson descendants. Regards, Dave Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Author: dandrew3160 Surnames: Coulson, Scott, Field(s), Jeter, Sweet, Swingle, Brewer, Roberts Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.coulson/430/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi: I'm looking for ancestors and descendants of Thomas E. Coulson b. 8/26/1851 d. 4/23/1932 and Rachael Scott b. 12/13/1852 d. 9-10/1925, both of England. They had four children, three of which were born in England and one in Kansas City, Kansas, U.S. All of the men were coal miners in the States. They traveled several times, with the children to and from the U.S. back to England, settling sometime around 1902. They lived at different times in Center,Columbianana Co., Ohio, Kansas City, Kansas, Diveron, Sanganmon Co., IL, Glen Carbon, Madison Co, Collinsville, Madison, Co, Ziegler, Franklin Co.,IL and West Frankfort, Franklin Co. IL., most of these citiea/towns have coal mining fields near them. I was told that they may have been in a shipping buisness and shipped goods back and forth between the U.S. and England. Also that at one time Thomas E. and Rachael had money, but after her death Thomas lost interest in life. All of the sons never talked about life in England except to say it was very difficult and wouldn't speak about it.
