My father's name was Herbert CAPON and I am keen to find out more about this work. There was only a small group of mewn on this particular project and two were DUNCAN BRUCE (who was the leader of the project) and COULSON,Lt -Cmdr A. F. W. They were often known as the Kentucky Minbstrels, The Wheezers and Dodgers and the Mudlarks. I am very keen in getting in touch with any of his family, especially if some, or a little knowledge is known of their work within the DMWD, which was all hush-hush at the time. I look forward with extreme interest to any replying to this. Thanking you Janet Capon-Brown (mother of Shelley Thompson) Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. He was born in Maryland in about 1778, the son of Jacob Coulson and Elizabeth Jennings. You can read about him at http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=rossgede&id=I30460. (Note: some of the links on this page no longer function.) He married Martha McIntyre, and they had nine children. The book, The Coulsons of Carroll County, Virginia, has a whole page about him. I have a scan of that page if anyone would like it. My question for you is When and where did Jeremiah die? The family tree mentioned above says 1840 in Virginia, but I can find no sources.
