Hi, I am new the list. My ancestor, like Nolene and J. R. Blankenship, is Jennetta (Jane) Couch who married Rowland Blankenship in Knox County, TN, 1815. Jane is a brickwall for me. Jane and Rowland moved to Madison County, AL after their marriage and lived there for several years but returned to TN around 1828. They settled in White County, TN. While searching for any Couches in White County I found the there was a James Couch who lived there in 1815 and 1816 according to transcribed documents posted on usgenweb.com. In 1815 he was called for jury duty and 1816 he was called to lay off a road in the county. My question is -- does anyone on the list know who this James is or anything about his family? Below are links to the posted documents.
