Kathy, Joseph of 1850, 1860 and 1870 is not the same Joseph on the 1816 Clay Co KY tax list. He would, as I said, have been only about 10 or 11 yrs of age at that time. There was a 2nd Joseph in the area, and he was much older. He is the one who never showed on a census there, He was only on the tax lists for the one year. And everywhere we've tracked John recently, there is also Joseph. A very reasonable deduction that they were related. As we all know, families tended to band together back then. Joyce
