Bill, he married Adeline Couch in Tunica, Tunica County, Mississippi. He is buried at Eudora, DeSoto County, Mississippi in Goodrum Cemetery. His headstone tells us he was born in 1841. I have found him in a couple of the censuses as John L. Couch, but never Jonathan. We feel, if this is the correct person, he dropped some of his name and merely went by John for the rest of his life. The 1850 Census of Orange County gives Lee and Sally Couch, and Jonathan, with his age stated as nine years. Hence, 1841 on his headstone would match the census age. Thanks, Everette Bowie
