Based upon information I received awhile back compliments of cousin Ellen McKown, the information on this CD about our Jeremiah's father is incorrect. Ellen says, and I have no reason to doubt her information, our Jeremiah's father was Captain John of Buckingham County. I think all of us consider Captain John to be the brother of James of Buckingham County. cousin Richard of Tulsa

Richard, John and James were brothers and their father was called Capt Couch. Bev Blum is the one who has worked a thousand years on this line. James had a son who was Called John Couch, Jr until his uncle died and then be became just John. Go figure but the Couch people had their own naming system. the John who is my ggrandfather is the John Couch who died in 1840 in KY. He was married twice: Sisters: Ann and Mary Anderson. I know I have mailed this before or at least I think I have. All of the children of my John Couch have been accounted for and have most of the their children as well. Go to the Anderson Family Web page and read their lineage and it will give insight to the Couch connection. Also if you read the will of John Couch (1840) his will also makes reference to Andeson, etc. A son by the first wife had some sort of problem or something as he was given more in the WILL then the other children.
