The reason I asked about Nancy is because I'm having serious doubts as to my William Campbell, step-son of John Couch of Perry Co KY, having married Nancy Couch, dau of John and 1st wife, Mary Boone. At least one researcher claims William's wife was Nancy Hall. On the earlier Clay/Perry County KY census records, the older female in the Drury Bush household was not old enough to have been Nancy. Then, in 1840, an older female appears with him, b between 1770-80. I am wondering if he married Nancy Couch in KY, and she was John & Mary Boone Couch's dau. Drury Bush showed for the first time on the 1819 Clay Co KY tax list (area later Perry Co)/John Couch in 1816. Another possibility is William Campbell may have died, or they divorced (tradition is he left Nancy and moved to Indiana) and Nancy remarried to Drury Bush. It is fact Drury Bush was in Russell County VA, but whether he married Nancy Couch there, or even if she ever lived there, I have yet to find. Thanks again for your help. Joyce
