Ellen, "a baby every year" -- makes me wonder if all these children really belonged to the same couple. Most families back then had children aproximately every other year. Could some of them have belonged to a brother of John? I note too, rather long periods of time between some of these births, which could indicate some babies born and died, or maybe even a 2nd marriage for John. What I've found interesting is the names of the Buckingham Couches being so similar to those of John Couch of Perry County. i.e. Martin/Marton, and James Bartlett, as well as John etc. Joyce

No the brother of this John Couch was James Couch and that is my line and I have all the children and they are all accounted as well as the next generation. In fact, I am generation 6 from the James Couch. Goes like this: James>John>Orrel>Ora Emma(Ora Emma Couch is my grandmother and she married Lemuel Pleasant Hunt)>my father>me.
