Hello everyone. My name is John Couch. I live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I just subscribed to the mailing list and wanted to introduce myself. I've talked with Bill and Kathy some through emails. I am researching the Couch family in and around Leslie County, Kentucky. I have mostly been concentrating on the John Couch(s/o Eli) married to Nancy Sizemore family, but I do have information from Martin on down. If Bill is reading this I tried to email you but your isp is blocking my email. Kathy informed me we need more people to take the DNA test. I was curious as to how I go about doing that. Also, I have the line from John(s/o Eli) on down mostly complete with names of children and dates and was wondering how to send you that file. There is a library not far from me(~half an hour) that has the Kentucky Death Certificates on microfilm. I've sent some death certificates to Kathy to post on her site, and have many more death certificates and census records to send to her still if you're interested in those as well.
Thanks, I was afraid if that, They have been working on it and installing a new mail program, and My mail really took a drop. How about everyone try to send me a message and see how many are bouncing. Robert H. Couch I have not heard from you in a while, Are you blocked. Hi John, Glad to see you made it to the list and contact with Bill too. He can give you the scoop on the DNA project and YES....there is much need for more participants, particularly those with KY roots. It's been a real help for many and lots of surprises along the way to keep things interesting. You can also post your line on the list. Many people search the archives and you never know when a connection might be made. Thanks for the death certificates and yes, I'm always interested in any more you want to send. I'm a bit behind lately from back injury but hope to get caught up soon. Welcome and good hunting!
