Mrs. Frances Couch Anderson Marley, 80, of 900 W. Dolphin St., Siler City, N.C., passed away Monday at Chatham Hospital. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bennett Baptist Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Tim Strider officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. She was a Lancaster native, and before moving to the Bennett area previously operated a Dairy Queen at Surfside Beach. She also worked as a cashier at Brewer Seafood Restaurant at Harper Cross Roads near Bennett. Mrs. Marley was predeceased by her first husband, Glen Anderson. Survivors: Husband, Mr. Dewey Marley Sr., of Siler City; a daughter, Cheri Johnson and husband Rick, of Pine Mountain, Ga.; a son, Terry Anderson and wife Terri, of Greenville; a stepson, Dewey Marley Jr. and wife Betty, of Greensboro, N.C.; a stepdaughter, Jennie Fry and husband Bob, of Newport News, Va.; a grandson, Eric Anderson, of Greenville; six stepgrandchildren; and brothers, Ben Couch of Wake Forest, N.C., and Max Jones Couch of Columbia. Kathryn, As you may recall Bill Couch thinks my Couch folks may have gone from Souch Carolina to Lincoln County, TN. I have just learned that Lincoln was formed from Bedford Coiunty, TN in 1809 the year my folks are recorded in Madison County, MS Terr. Census. Have you by chance seen any evidence of a John Couch, Sr, JR and Thomas Couch in Bedford County around 1804-1808? Any help or suggestions appreciated. Take Care.
