    3. Published on 9/9/2003. Jean D. Couch Jean D. COUCH Age 86, passed away suddenly August 28, 2003 in Seattle, WA. Born December 31, 1916, she lived her life in North Seattle. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Robert J. Couch, she is survived by son, John Couch, wife Lynn (Redmond, WA.), son Gary Couch (Everett, WA.), granddaughter, Cameron Couch (Kirkland, WA.) and relatives Joan Olson (Scottsdale, AZ.) and Matt Olson (Avalon, AZ.) Our Mother grew up near Lower Woodland and graduated from Lincoln High School. After business college and marriage, she set about raising her family in Lake City. Mom worked at Seattle Peoples Bank (U.S. Bank) as a Trust Officer. She marveled over meeting Joshua Green, Sr. and loved the excitement of managing real estate. She retired in 1982 after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a pioneer outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing, camping and touring the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Mom was an avid gardener, crafter, creative chef, lover of animals and books (especially new authors), and enjoyed Long Beach, WA. Later in life she developed an interest in computers and became a rabid fan of the Seattle Mariners, Husky football and NASCAR--never missing a game or auto race. Mom valued family, simple living and independence. With great faith in herself and a powerful positive attitude, she met the challenges of the Depression, World War II, Boeing strikes and Dad's illness. She took pride in her ability to manage her affairs and care for her home. She neatly pruned her last shrub moments before she passed away. --not my relative, just providing information. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
