    3. Kevin Thomas Couch Kevin Thomas Couch, Kansas City, MO, entered this world on October 31, 1989, and, at age 14 years old, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2004. Scouting was a major part of Kevin's life. He was a member of Cub Scout Pack 441 and served as a leader and mentor to the young scouts in Boy Scout Troop 395. Kevin was a Life Scout, had earned all of the required merit badges, and was working on his Eagle Scout project. Kevin was a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, Tamegonit Lodge 147, and was a Foxman preparing to enter the Tribe of Mic-O-Say this summer at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation. Kevin was a strong Christian with an active relationship with Christ. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, a member of the youth group, and was confirmed in his church this year. He attended Barry Middle School, and was the Student Council President. He was consistently on the Principal's Honor Roll. He loved serving the youth in the community and showed this by serving as a mentor in the adjoined elementary school. Kevin loved music and played the piano for years. He was a member of the school band, playing percussion. Kevin actively participated in many sports, excelling in wrestling and attending state competition this year. He spent many hours with his father and brother on their farm hunting and enjoying the wonders of the outdoors. Kevin leaves behind his parents, Michael and Laura Couch; loving brother and sister, Steven Couch and Stephanie Couch; grandparents, Wayne and Oretha Couch; uncles and aunts, Bill and Cindy Brandom, Bob and Linda Brandom, Loren and Debbie Miller, Scott and Susan Brandom, Jerry and Sandra Couch, and Russ and Jo Couch; many cousins and untold number of friends. Kevin is welcomed into heaven by grandparents, William and Ann Brandom. Visitation will be Thursday, April 22, from 6-9 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 N. 291 Highway, Liberty, MO. Services will be Friday, April 23, at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Boy Scout Troop 395 Memorial Fund in memory of Kevin Couch, Pine Ridge Presbyterian Church, 7600 N.W. Barry Rd., Kansas City, MO 64153.
