Hi! Since I live in Madison County, Al (Huntsville) and we have a wonderful genealogy section in our library, I will get down there soon (I hope) and try to research the Couches that were here and in Alabama. Our Couch is Jane who married Rowland Blankenship in Knox County, Tn in 1815 and they came to A; about 1816/17. I have centered my research around them and Joseph and Jonathan Couch who were in Knox County when Jane and Rowland married. Jonathan signed her marriage bond. I believe Joseph to be her father who was in AShe County, NC in 1800. There was also a Timothy Couch in White County, Tn when Jane and Rowland moved there about 1827/28. I believe he was Jane's brother and he later moved to adjoining Warren County. I am dealing with trying to heal from hand surgery and an arthritic hip - cannot sit too long, but will get to this soon. Have had all kinds of computer/program problems. Have a new computer which arrived yesterday and will have installed within the next couple of days Transferring files and information will take time but as soon as I can handle things at home, will make it a point to do some library research and will post it for the list as soon as I get some new information.
