    3. Those Couches, "Cooch" in Delaware early are very likely some of the Couch Quakers who were in Guilford County NC (now Greensboro NC) before the onset of the Rev. War in late 1770's and tended the injured on both sides during the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Guilford heavily German, i. e. Quaker, Moravian, Lutheran etc. They were pacifists and took neither side. The Couches in Orange NC 55 miles away were Patriot as were the Couches in Greenville/Spartanburgh Dists.
