OK that isn't that big a deal, I suppose, but when I went to the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Oklahoma City, OK and requested a copy of her death certificate they told me she was listed as dead. However they were gracious and kept my ten dollars just to keep the records straight. I then went to the court house in the county where she lived at her death and got the court proceedings when they cleared the estate. Listing all the sons, their wives and my grandfather but no death date so the moral of this story is my grandmother is in never-never land and has been since 1922. Statistics may not lie but statisticians surely do good searching. ellen So are you on the Ira Couch side? I know istances of where they died and was not repprted to the next year. Was rampant in Ky, as the mountains were froze and ground to hard to dig.. So they laid them over till spring. Happened in my line a few times A for courthouses... they are in a worls of their own on some matters
