Ellen, did you try the local newspapers for her obituary? If you'll send me a few details will be glad to see if I can find it. I live in Oklahoma. Don't know where you are. Thanks, I was told and didn't follow any more that there were no obits for her. She died in 1922 in Johnston Co,OK and she is buried in the Bee Cemetery which is east and a little south of Tishomingo. There is and was a small town called Bee and there is still a grade school there plus a small cafe and we stopped in the cafe and looked at a small local map the owner had and the residence of some of the children were noted. The Bee cemetery is still maintained and used and as one goes in the gate in the front and walk almost directly forward in a straight line her headstone is there. On one side is my father (while facing the headstone of my grandmother) he is one the left and another son is on the right however his headstone is a large rock. An aunt is buried I believe east of these three ( nearer the entrance gate) and she has her small infant buried with her also. Her name is Girties Anderson Hunt but the headstone doesn't have the name Anderson on it. The land they owned (grandparents) is beneath what is call Lake Texoma at the present time. Would dearly love to have an obits but haven't seen anything yet. Also contacted the two funeral homes in Tishomingo and they did not have the records from that time. Seems that at one time there were two active funeral home there and there was feud or some kind of misunderstanding and one home burned there records. Can't remember the story I was told but I thought " Old girl your luck is running true to form". Thanks for your reply. We live in Norman where are you. ellen Are you another Couch relative?
