Hi, Diane... I looked in the book on Saratoga County again and found out that a Uriah B. Couch was listed as a town official or something in Milton County. I also found him on the 1840 Census in Sciptio Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was listed as 30-40 with two youngermales and1 girl 15-20 His wife, undoubtedly was listed as 20-30 With them was a man 70-80 and a woman 60-70. I am positive this was Daniel, Jr and his second wife. IN 1850 Uriah was living inn Fayette Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan. He was 46 years old and his wife was named Rachel and was 38 years old. Both were born in New York. So there is one son for you for Danial, Jr. I couldn't find them on the 1860 without going door to door. Daniel Couch, Jr. is buried in Johnson Cemetery in Scipio Township., probably with his wife who died before 1850. you can write to: Randy Kittle 10470 Watson Road in Hanover, MI. He has done the counting for the cemetery and could give you the info on both him and his second wife. They apparently had no other children in MI except. Daniel, Jr. was never used as a patriot for the DAR undoubtedly because nobody knew anything about him. I rather enjoyed this genealogy tripT....but I will tell you it wasn't exactly the easiest, but one of the most fun things I have ever done. No w back to Saratoga,Ebeneezer was a brother of old Daniel Couch. and you saw where Daniel. Jr. first wife died in 1799. In the 1810 Census he was married again and had 1 boy under 10 andone 16-25...3 girls under ten and a wife 26-44 . I imagne the ones under 10 were the second wife's and the boy 16 belonged to the first one. Does that help you with your Daniel Couch, Jr. family? There are now four boys and 3 girls, at least that we probably will know nothing about. Speaking of knowing nothing about....I have about come to the conclusion that Elijah Couch was not a son of Daniel's. I have absolutley tried everything known to man, but I can't find him. If you have any clues.....please let me know.
