For Thanksgiving, I would invite John and Rachel Couch, parents of Nancy Priscilla Couch Eargle, b.abt 1832, of Georgia, (my gggg Grandparents). I would ask them who their parents were and what the connection to Germany was, as they spoke German in the home! After the Civil War, Nancymoved to Texas, and sent three of her sons to Germany to medical school. They returned to Texas to practise. I would love to hear from anyone else researching this line. Do you know where in Germany they attended Med school. Have you contacted any of the universities there. That would be an interesting research project. Why not contact the university in Heidleberg Germany and ask them for assistance. They can either help or reject and you have lost nothing. ellen
