    3. Joyce, Thanks Joyce. IF the DNA is the clue, anyone who finds the parents of their know ancstor such as John may well be the common ancestor of everyone in the Group 5 DNA group. It may well be John Couch of Jamestown or the father of some other know Couch ancestors of those in the Group 5 DNA. The fact that several DNA group 5 members took the 25 marker DNA test and had almost identical DNA scores. The science of DNA suggests (I have been told) that those with a matching 25 marker test have a common ancestor within 7 generations. Thus, if we can identify the common ancestor of those taking the 25 marker test then we would all know our common ancestor. I am excited that we may really be close.
