Ellen, I have the line provided me by Dr. Richard Couch of Oklahoma. I would love to see your line. What I am most interested in is finding the Common Ancestor of Group 5 in the Couch DNA project. Since we know that Dr. Richard Couch is a member of this group (his group and that of yours came from Buckingham County, VA) and that Richard is related to those Lunenburg County, VA, Orange County, NC and South Carolina Couches then the common ancestor must be one we can all identify with. As I said before, I think we should explore the possibility that the John Couch sr of Jamestown or his father was that common ancestor. Since we know that Thomas Couch Jr of Lunenburg, VA was born about 1720 and Matthew Couch of Lunenburg County, VA was born on July 25, 1725 then the father of your Jamestown, VA John Couch may just be the common ancestor we all are seeking. I am not proficient on using the computer but here is what I can do to help. I use Family Tree Maker and input my material in FTM. I can copy the material you want and send it within an email but it will be 31 pages long. (I just checked this to be certain) This will give you what I have and includes all the notes, etc thru this family. Will send when you reply. ellen
