Hi Jeff, I too am from John Couch and Elizabeth Campbell. e-mail me and I'll tell you what I know of them, which admittedly isn't much -- there's not a great deal known for sure about them I fear. Jo
Hello, I have an obituary for a Hannah Couch from the Painesville Telegraph February 1848. I believe she and her husband Elisha Shepard were my 3rd great grandparents. Died in this place (Painesville, Ohio), February 26th, Hannah, wife of Elisha Shepard in the 58th year of her life. The deceased was a native of Berkshire County, Massachusetts, but for several years a resident of this state. She was a devoted wife, a kind mother and an exemplary Christian. For many years her health was feeble, but she grew in grace under the discipline of affliction. Having long prior to this event committed her soul to the hands of Christ, her end was peace. From the Sandisfield Vital Records from an LDS film she was the daughter of William Couch and Abigail ??. Does anyone have any additional information on this line? Thank you.
