It was not clear to me which Couch you were researching. I am descended from Ezekiel Lamkin (b. 1785, KY or TN) who married Nancy Couch i(b. 1799 in SC d. after 1870 in Tippah Col., MS). They were married in Madison Co., Alabama, July 14, 1813. Their second son, John Harvey Lamkin was born in 1819 in AL, was in Upshure Co., TX in 1860. I believe that this site mentions my 2nd grt-grandfather George Washington Cope and the father of Martha Permelia Cope "Mattie". Those of you that are working on this line and his son Nathan who was in Gentry Co. Mo by 1850 Census. and has see whee his last 4 children was born in Georgia. Well Mary Welch has been searching Georgia land records after finding that John and Rachel Couch DNA match with the Meshack line. and she came up with some land records that show Nanthan was in Campbell Co. Ga abt 1841 very Close To John. Now John born 1809 by Census records is too old to be Nantan son unless that date is off by about 3 years. Will the Meshack line work with us trying to find out how Nathan and John Was Kin ? This is one road block that DNA has helped on. Because we had Two John's in James Couch line and this has helped to figure out which one really belong there. Bill Couch
