Hi out there, does anyone know where I might be able to access the records of the workhouse in Clogher for circa the period 1909 ? i'm searching for a James Tague / Teague who had lived in Belfast and I've discovered the death record of a man of this name in the workhouse in Clogher. the death record said he was from Belfast.it is possible that this James moved back to Tyrone to be in his home county when he died. i'm not sure if Clogher was his home place or if it was the closest work house to wherever in the county his home was. does anyone know if there were other workhouses in the surrounding areas ? if there are any local historians out there would ye know if Clogher may have ever been regarded as being in County Monaghan ? the reason is that in the census the person who I believe to be James son listed his place of birth as Monaghan. all leads welcomed.
