Snap Mike...was just about to email re Ballnahaye. Also to pick up on the Clonavaddy clue - Ballnahaye is only 5 miles from Clonavaddy. On the 1901 census also there are many McCuskers in Ballynahaye including some that would be of the same generation as your person. There is also a 70 year old Patrick McCusker with a younger, possibly second wife and possibly second family with that wife. The family is Roman Catholic. These names in the census look as though they could be looked at for clues! I would try to find the death of the the mother Mary Clarke McCusker and then a marriage between Patrick and Anne.
