    3. I am trying to find a marriage record for James Armstrong and Elizabeth Sarah before 1842 in Clogher Tyrone. I am not sure of Elizabeth's surname because her daughters listed 2 (Gillespie and Crispin)different names on their marriage application. The came to the U S before 1870 and lived in New York. Their children were Thomas, William, Rebecca and Elizabeth. All born in Clogher between 1842 and 1851. Any help is welcomed. Janet Sent from my iPod

    3. Hi Janet, Do you know the religion(s) of James and Elizabeth? Roman Catholic or Protestant? Do I understand correctly that James and Elizabeth came to NY? NYC or state of NY? If NYC, have you looked for NYC death records, which might give you more detail? Indices available on www.germangenealogygroup.com or www.italiangen.com The same records are available on both sites, just a slightly different interface, and both have links to order the documents from NY archives. Good luck!
