Hi Boyd Sorry if I have confused you with my lack of information. The family was from Tyrone but Joseph's two older brothers migrated to Australia. The eldest, George, is my great grandfather so I am trying to find out what happened to his brothers and sister in Ireland. If Joseph had the same sense of adventure as his older brothers, he may have left Ireland (or County Tyrone) as well. So I can't assume he married in Tyrone. The marriage of Lizzie Black to Joseph McMaster is the most likely possibility but I think I will put it in the "maybe" category for the time being. I was probably lucky that, of the half dozen certificates I have applied for, this marriage certificate is the only one I am doubtful about.
