Hi all I have a question regarding death registration in Ireland in general It was stated in a post on another list that it was known that many deaths were not registered I can understand in the early days of Civil Registration that some might have been missed but wonder how widespread that was and whether there was a point in time when they tightened up on these missed registrations There were changes to the process of registration in England & Wales in 1874 and again in 1926 I wondered what the situation was in Ireland -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
