Fellow listers - In the course of my research into my Irish ancestors, I found the "Irish Gleanings" website at https://sites.google.com/site/irishgleanings/ To quote the compiler "Information extracted to connect people to Irish townlands I've have been researching the US State Department records at the US National Archives. Most of these records are from the 20th century but many are dated 1865 to 1899. I've extracted information on the place of birth for thousands of people born In Ireland or with Irish parents. Typically this information will connect a person with a location in Ireland to their residence, or former residence, in the United States. Many of these Irish emigrants return to Ireland to live and raise their family." I found a tiny reference to my GGM and her younger sister. I followed the instructions from the compiler "If you find any names that connect with your research please send me an email." From that contact, I now have copies of 6 pages of correspondence between a US lawyer and his Irish counterpart, on the settling of the estate in County Tyrone. The compiler adds to the Gleanings regularly - added 400 items in October 2013. Hoping this information may be of use to someone on the list. Margaret
