The Immigrants Daughter brought tears to my eyes, Thankyou for sharing that. Both My GrandMothers left Ireland, one for New Zealand and the other for Australia, Just very young ladies. One lost her only Daughter at sea from Typhoid. I can imagine just how devastating that would have been, along with leaving their Parents and Siblings behind, never to see them again. And setting sail on those crowded Sailing ships for days or months on end. Yet without their courage I wouldn't be here today, in their new land.
