    3. *Stuarts-Stewarts* I was happy to see the new info provided on the Stuart/Stewart family! I personally still am stuck with my 3X great grandmother, Rebecca Stewart. I do not have either of her parents names and only that she was born in Northern Ireland, the family always said in Tyrone. She married John Hampton, some records spelled Hampton as Hempton. She and John had emigrated to the USA and did in Philadelphia, PA. My grandmother always told us we were descendants of a "royal" line of Stewarts but there is no proof and none of us are rich nor royal in any way! I am just looking to get past my block wall. Rebecca was born about 1822 and died 18 March 1892. Children: Rebecca, William, Mary and John. I descend from Mary Any leads are greatly appreciated.
