Michael Cosgrove (b. abt. 1820) was living in County Tyrone when his son Patrick was b. in1839. Michael first married Catherine Hines and then Catherine Owens. A daughter Catherine was b 1855 and a son James was b. 1856 near Fintona. We suspect the family first lived near Omagh and then moved to Donacavey Parish. Another son Michael died about 1916, supposedly near Fintona. A gravestone inscription of James Cosgrove (1851-1884) at St. Peter and St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery, about a half mile west of Fintona reads, "Erected by James Cosgrove in Memory of his Beloved Son, James, Died 25th March, 1884, aged 27 years. RIP”. Any information or help on the Cosgrove family would be very much appreciated.
