Hi, I am looking for information on my ancestors. My great grandmother, Rachel Anderson Aldridge was born in Cookstown, County of Tyrone, Ireland. Her mother's name was Mary McIlroy Anderson. Her father was John Anderson. John and Mary had 7 children. Rachel was the oldest. Rachel was born on July 7,1883. John Anderson was born about 10 April 1857 , to Thomas Anderson and Rachel Donaldson. Mary was born on 25 Dec. 1860 in Ballindrum, Londonderry, Ireland. To John McIlroy and Margaret Anderson. John and Mary's children are : 1.)Rachel Anderson 2.) Agnes Anderson (born 24 Feb 1885) 3.) Mary Anderson ( born 29 Nov 1887) 4.) Thomas Anderson ( born 29 Dec 1889, Died 25 Dec 1890) 5.) Ellen Anderson (known as Nellie) ( born. 28 Nov 1891. Died 20 Feb 1897) 6.) Lavinia Anderson ( born 28 Nov 1893.) 7.) Margaret Victoria Anderson ( born 10 July 1897) All the children were born in Ireland. The first 3 were born in Cookstown. The other 4 were born in Belfast. 2 of the children ( Thomas and Ellen ( Nellie), died in Belfast. John Anderson abandoned the family, as we were told.
