Hi Robert I think I have talked to Ray. My 4th great Grandmother was Letitia Moorhead Huey.. Hueys and Moorheads may be from near there.. Letitia Moorhead and James Huey have Mary Jane, John and James in Leckpatrick Tyrone Letitia is born in 1811 John is born in Derryloran Tyrone c. 1800 as is Elizabeth.. and David All born to James and Isabella Moorhead from Derryloran. The father of James Moorhead is John from Derryloran. Mary Jane Huey’s parents were Protestant but the Moorheads may have been Catholic. I am not sure. Mary Jane Huey marries James Sweeney, a Catholic and they come to Philadelphia on the Mohongo in 1853. They were all farmers and they went to Southern New Jersey immediately to farm. Hello Kathleen. You and I have chatted previously, but I think that it might have been about some of your genealogy more generally, rather than about your MOORHEADs. I will forward to you off-line, some notes which I have recently sent to Robert in response to his postings. You seem to be fortuntate, in that from what you have posted here, it seems that your MOORHEADs were located for a long time at Derryloran. Mine seem to have moved around frequently. grrrr…..
