    3. I have been researching the Wright family from County Tyrone for over one year and have had no leads on my Twice Great Grandmother. Over the weekend I found a biography on my Great Uncle Andrew Wright who immigrated to the US in 1865. The biography list his father as James Wright and his mother as Bertha Ann McConkey. I have searched on both Ancestry.com and FamilySearch.org and found no listings for her. Does anyone know of a Bertha Ann Mc Conkey who would have been born late 1700's or early 1800's as my grandfather James was born in 1839. James' birthplace is listed as Ballynafreagh , County Tyrone and he was christened in Brigh, Presbyterian Church.

    3. Hi Dennis, While I can't help with your family, I think it may well be useful to search for McConaghy (and variants of same) as I believe it's the same name as McConkey. I find it is always worth keeping spelling variations in mind, especially for the time frame you are researching. Not sure if that will help but maybe worth a try.
