hI aLL I have been on this list for a very long time...though I have not posted in a few years I do read everything- well almost everything. I also do know ray and respect his and others opinion to Facebook. I myself am a New Yorker...and as someone else said I DO belong to FB in order to keep in touch with friends and relatives. I have never had any problems with them BUT I DO understand those that may feel violated by it. I did look at the Castlederg page...since my Armstrong / Buchanan may have lived near there. I have not been that involved in gen work for the last few years because I watch my grand daughter (Grammy care lol). My comment is...I understand everyone's fear...but just being online...being on a list, posting to Ancestry, putting pics on flckr...can all become invasive. I agree we all have our opinions and our choices....yet I feel nothing is "truly" safe today. In fact someone I met thru a list contacted me...though the line was not directly mine I gave the info to a cousin who was so excited she shared info with this person who also reciprocated. Unfortunately NOW this person has posted ALL the info on Ancestry that is hers and mine!!! SOOOO ????How safe are any of us? Just a thought! And...some of the info THAT person posted is WRONG! I give up! You try to help people and they take advantage. BUT that is how it is today! Sue in New York
