This is the reason it is suggested one has as many cousins as possible tested (at their expense if you can!) Then you can work out which side of the family a match matches. I think also the videos on youTube by Genetic Genealogy Ireland are fabulous. There is one especially about grouping your matches into townlands. I have surnames which come up as matches all the time but so far I cannot see that we have relations by these names.
