Subject: Cobean/Cobain/Cobeane in Skey & Cavankilgreen Townlands Hello; I sent an inquiry several weeks ago and would like to give a hearty thanks to those who provided the great wealth information about my family, Cobean, from Skey & Cavankilgreen. I have the location of the Estate of Sir Hugh Stewart, Baronet in Carnteel [1834] but am still short the location of lands owned by Acheson Moore of Ravella who leased 60 acres of land to Samuel, Thomas & Joseph Cobean of Skey in the Manor of Ridgeway January 14, 1748 and registered 1753. Is there a way to find the location of this land? I have also found documents stating Samuel Cobean owned 65 acres of land in Canankilgreen, described in Griffiths Valuation [1.10.0 -1860] as Lot 20a. Samuel sold the land in 1864 to Archibald Hadden, whose grandson opened a limestone quarry known as Cavankilgreen Quarries ,part of the firm "Quarry Masters". Again I am looking to find the location. Any assistance to locating the lands would be appreciated, as I will be visiting Aughnacloy area soon. Edward Cobean
