I am curious as to where you got the names Grimby,Grimsby, grimacy from. Is it possible that it has been a mistranscription of some sort. Have you seen an original record with this name in it? As to Rae, Rea have you looked on our wonderful website below? http://cotyroneireland.com/ There are Reas there. There are also variations of spelling.....Wray, Wrey. Could also be Grimley. And for Rea, also look at McRea. My mother's maiden name is McElrea, but we have found variations of McIlrea, McElray, etc., as well as Mylrea - not to mention one family who changed their name to Wray when they emigrated to the US.
