    3. Hello Eamonn, There is also the Civil Parish of Errigal Truagh, which is mostly in County Monaghan, but does contain part of County Tyrone as well.... http://www.townlands.ie/monaghan/errigal-truagh/ John in NC On 2015/09/08 19:32 , David Bartley via wrote: > Eamonn, > > Errigal Keerogue and Errigal Kieran are one and the same. 3. Referring to "Heather, Peat and Stone: The Parishes and Townlands of Tyrone" (ed) William O'Kane (Irish World) the official name of the CIVIL parish is Errigal Keerogue. The Roman Catholic parish is known as Errigal Kieran . The parish is generally known by the former name; they are almost identical, excepting Errigal Keerogue which contains two more townlands. 3. Eamonn, BTW, there is also a townland (much further south in County Clare and maybe not of interest to you): Townland Acres County Barony Parish PLU Province Knockaunanerrigal 27 Clare Inchiquin Dysert Ennis Munster So there are the three townlands with “errigal" in the name, but also three (larger) civil parishes, including the parish Errigal (possibly of interest) in County Londonderry. Pretty soon you’ll have all the possibilities!
