29 July 2015 3 reminders from CTI Admin: 1. No off-topic posts -- let's stick to genealogy in Co. Tyrone. I hope those who are interested have been digging into the digitized microfilms of the R.C. parish registers held by the National Library of Ireland (see http://registers.nli.ie/about). The on-line resources we have now is a vast improvement from even five years ago, but there are still many more record sets in archives and repositories for us to track down and share with fellow list members. 2. The list web site is an all-VOLUNTEER effort and no one is paid. I know that 99.99% of us truly appreciate all the work and effort that has gone into and continues to go into our fantastic site. A number of people on this list have gone above and beyond and spent a lot of time to help people with queries. Even if they are unable to find the record you are looking for, please THANK them for the time they have spent trying to help you to show your appreciation. Courtesy is contagious. :) 3. Digest Mode and replies. For those who receive posts in the bundled digest mode and are replying to the list, please remember to: (a) delete the irrelevant portions of the digest (b) CHANGE the subject line to a meaningful one from "Digest ### ..."
