Hi. I was hoping to find an explanation on how records were worded back then. For example, I found a marriage entry that reads: Bridget of Hugh Trainer and Ann Sloan (I assume Bridget is the bride and her parents are Hugh & Ann) Next line: looks like Sl Peter Rice (?) and Ann Cunningham Are they the sponsors (Sl really is Sp) or groom's parents?
