Hi Could anyone tell me why the size of a townland (Bodoney) in the parish of Kilskeey would have changed between the date of the tithe (1826) and Griffiths valuation (1860 I think)? I know the tithe was done in Irish acres so I converted the Irish acres in Bodoney to British acres and was left was an area of around 260 acres in the tithe and 500 acres in Griffiths. I'm curious to know why this would have occurred and was it widespread. Regards Kerrie Australia
