Hi Sharon, The LDS' FamilySearchIndexing project reports it has completed the Irish BMD indexes up to 1958, but none are yet online. Maybe you're thinking of the free index search (but pay to view) on the IFHF site? See http://ifhf.brsgenealogy.com/ to see if this is what you're remembering. The free index search only tells you name, year, county, and source (type of record). Hope the helps. Claire K.
