Hello Friends 'Tis been awhile since I've posted anything relating to our commuity web-site, as the announcements , etc. are now within Tammy's capable hands. My job is to recruit volunteers, and to try to find, transcribe & organize data for the site. I often beg & plead for these <VBG> http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cotyroneireland/ If any of you can help with some of the projects that I am working on, that would be *Fantastic*. Your help could be in the way of Pictures (of workhouses/ hospitals etc), essays on ancestors who were within the occupations (even simple paragraphs), or transcriptions. The projects that I now have in the works are~ 1) Lunatic Asylums / Hospitals & Workhouses ( I have within this also been trying to find census data on Tyrone folks held in foreign country institutions. A wonderful contribtionin this category would be the 1901 census of Tyrone people in Tyrone hospitals.) 2) Physicians/Surgeons & Apocarthy's.- (Biographies, where they were educated, where they lived, what were some of their remedies and for what malady. those old wives tails <VBG>) 3) Priests / Ministers / Pastors. (Lists of any of the Churches Ministers (etc) from earlier times.and Biographries whether they remained in Tyrone or emigrated elswhere.) 4) Military (muster Rolls, Units of Tyrone in the 17-1800's- biographies) Thanks you in advance for any help with these projects.
