Hi Boyd Re 'GRO in Belfast has sequestered from the Family History Centre (the Mormons) in Derry' Whilst I'm not sure what this could be about, I can tell you that LDS have had indexers transcribing all the indexes of births, deaths and marriages for Ireland, from 1864 to 1958 as well as non Roman Catholic marriages from 1845 to 1864. These indexes are meant to be going online at LDS site sometime in the near future as the transcription of them is now complete. On the pilot site with data from other countries that has already been transcribed and uploaded, the original images are also available for many of them. I would imagine that the transcriptions of the images of the Ireland indexes will still be available even if the images arent. As I'm one of the indexers on the current LDS transcription project, I'll email them to see if they can clarify what's happening. Anyone who is interested in seeing what new records have already been transcribed and are available to search and look at images can find them at http://search.labs.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html?datestamp=1197311563597#p=0 Cheers Theresa _________________________________________________________________ Win New York holidays with Kellogg’s & Live Search http://clk.atdmt.com/UKM/go/111354033/direct/01/
