I am looking for info on Patrick Boyle, born 1830 in Strabane-County Tyrone-Northern Ireland. He died on 11-DEC-1879 in Jo Daviess County-IL-USA. His family is to have owned a linen mill in Strabane. After his father, Edward's death, he and his siblings [Edward, Bridget, Charles & Isabelle] sold the linen mill and immigrated to the USA in 1846. Their mother, name unknown, had already passed away. They settled in New York City and lived there until 1851 when the siblings, all but Bridget, moved to Galena-Jo Daviess-IL and purchased land near Woodbine-IL. He met his future wife, Alice Boyle when her family moved to Galena in 1852. Alice's parents were Owen & Mary Boyle from County Louth-Ireland and she was born in 1837. Her family had originally moved from Ireland to Philadelphia-PA in 1847. Patrick worked on the railroad. They had 10 children: Elizabeth, Owen, Cornelius, Mary, Isabella, Alice, Patrick, Delia, John & Charles. After Patrick's death in 1879, Alice and the family lived in IL for awhile, but moved to Le Mars-Plymouth-IA in 1907. Alice died there in 1927. Patrick and Alice are buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Apple River Township in Jo Daviess County-IL-USA. Thanks for your help! Theresa
