I see some researchers of the Scott family have recently posted their connections. Mygggrandfather was John Scott who died in the 1860's before his widow and adult children emigrated to Middlesex County, Ontario, Canada. His wife was Mary Monteith, daughter of Robert Monteith and Ruth Campbell. One of their sons was William, 1842-1923. In Ontario he married  Margaret bell, daughter of Alexander and Ann (or Nancy), also from Ireland. Some of Mary Montieth's family had emigrated to Ontario in the 1840's from Tircur in the parish of Cappagh, and supposedly the Scotts did not live far away, although I hven't been able to pinpoint exactly where. Does anyone have any connections to these families?   Diane B.
