Hi All I haven't posted on this list for awhile , but I saw ref to the name SCOTT. I usually concentrate in Fermanagh, though my gg grandparents were Montgomery ARMSTRONG b 1812 Drummee, co Fermanagh and Sarah BUCHANAN b? ,daughter of John BUCHANAN of Bunnynubber/Bonnynubber, near Omagh, Co Tyrone. I am interested in the SCOTT name though. And knowing how families crossed counties....I thought I would post again. Montgomery ARMSTRONG (above) had a brother Alexander ARMSTRONG who was married to Martha RICHEY (name is also spelt Richie/Ritchie). Martha's brother William RICHEY was married to Jane SCOTT b 1816, co Fermanagh. Jane SCOTT's parents were John SCOTT and Martha HENDERSON. From a Scott descendent ....when Martha was a widow they lived in Paisley Scotland and she owned a mill. Jane SCOTT's siblings were..James, William, Samuel, John, Elizabeth or Eliza, and Isabella (?). Through my searching family "stories" have said this Jane SCOTT was a "cousin" to my ARMSTRONGs (Montgomery, Alexander, etc). I thought since the name was posted I would put mine here too.
