Hi all, Big news! The long-awaited National Library - Eneclann - OMS collaboration to get Griffith's Valuation online is now a reality. And yes, Tyrone's included. At least as far as a transcript and copy of the printed GV goes. The few areas I spot-checked for Tyrone did not (yet?) have maps available on the site. Still, this is great progress -- and the site is free, on AskAboutIreland. http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/gv_start.php Apparently, for other locations there are 1850s maps and modern aerial photos. Maybe some of you will have better luck than I did with that... Happy hunting! Claire K CTI List Admin seekay@comcast.net Plan now! I was able to get a full townland map for Mullyrodan, Killeshill parish, Tyrone. I had to photoshop two sheets together, and the second sheet had some areas for Carnteel parish. The site is "a work in progress," so I assume more maps will be loaded soon. Yay.
